We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding to support early career scholars, independent researchers and translation practitioners whose papers have been accepted for presentation at the the “Translation and Creativity” conference in Galway in April 2024. The funding was possible under the NUI Grant Scheme for Early Career Academics.
A number of five accommodation bursaries are available and each covers the cost of two nights (April 24 and 25 or April 25 and 26) in a 3-star hotel in Galway. In order to be eligible, your research cannot be funded under any other scheme that you can avail of for the reimbursement of your accommodation expenses. Independent scholars and practitioners are eligible only if they reside and work in Ireland. By early career researchers we understand doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers within 3 years of the award of their PhD.
Please send your application in by Monday, March 11, to tsnigalway@gmail.com, covering the following points:
You will be notified of the outcome of your application on March 15. Meanwhile, we strongly advise you to make provisional accommodation arrangements, as availability will be low in Galway at the time.
