We are delighted to announce the inaugural 2024 Translator Fellowship with the Emily Anderson Centre for Translation Research and Practice at the University of Galway, Ireland. The fellowship is financially supported by the University of Galway’s College of Arts, Social Sciences, & Celtic Studies and awarded in partnership with Literature Ireland, the government-funded organisation with responsibility for the promotion of Irish literature abroad, primarily in translation. It is aimed at literary translators who are working on the translation of a work of contemporary literature by an Irish author (in Irish or English) into any European language. The fellowship lasts five weeks and includes a stipend as well as the coverage of the Fellow’s travel expenses to Ireland and accommodation in Galway.
